Shemshal Ensemble founded by Hossein Hamidi in 1998. The main aims of the Shemshal was recreating antique music of different regions of Iran with forgotten music instruments. First members of the Shemshal ensemble was: Hossein Hamidi, Afsaneh Jahangiri, Ghobad Rezai, Ali Samadpour, Mohammad Reza Ebrahimi, Jamal Mohammadi, Nastaran Kimiavi, Sadegh Cheraghi and Elshan Ghasimi. As a result the first group experience, recreating the "Qashqai Song" and "Galesh" in the 2000s as a group playing in the Pop Studio was recorded by Naser Farhoodi. Then Shemshal within a decade, operated more than 40 concerts in different cities of Iran including Tehran, Sari, Ahwaz and Gachsaran.
